A San Antonio-based space startup has received another $1.3 million in NASA fundingto continue its work using lunar soil to build structures on the moon. It’s also landed a spot on a rover that’s slated to fly to the moon aboard a SpaceX Starship in 2026.

Securing data, information is a center of gravity for military, general tells San Antonio conference
About 4,000 people attended the annual Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association conference hosted by the Alamo Chapter of the national nonprofit. Known as Alamo ACE, the event has run for 13 years in San Antonio, the city with the largest number of cyber professionals outside the D.C. region. Attendance was up from more than 3,000 a year ago.

Meet Alan Stern, Southwest Research Institute’s first official space traveler
Years later, now an associate vice president of Southwest Research Institute’s Space Science Division and an independent science consultant, Stern has contributed significantly to the field that inspired him. TxDOT grants $16M for bike lanes throughout downtown San Antonio
The City of San Antonio announced Tuesday that the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has awarded almost $16 million for a cycle track along Market and Commerce streets downtown.

As part of AT&T’s recently announced nationwide commitment to help bridge the digital divide and homework gap, AT&T is contributing $20,000 to TechBloc to support digital literacy training and bridge the digital divide for local students.
TechBloc will be hosting the “TechBloc x SA Digital Connect Bridging the Digital Divide in San Antonio” workshop for 30 underserved students in 6th to 8th grades to build their digital literacy skills.
